gets a big boost of congratulations by the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division.
The
MOAFPHIL was initiated and organized by the 55th IB, through Col.
Gerry Besana, and the Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office (MOPPO), presently
under S/Supt. Archivald Macala, as its sounding
board in making its contributions to the public known.
In
partnering with the media, news and information for other outside media, press,
journalists, publications and others interested will be made known likewise all
avenues of communication.
During
the induction program here at the Tangub City Function Hall, BGen. Apolinario
Alobba read Tabak commander BGen. Gerardo Barrientos Jr.’s message recognizing
the role of the organization as a link between and among the local media, the
AFP and the PNP in the province.
Barrientos
also acknowledged media’s resourcefulness as this will truly help in the implementation
of Internal Peace and Security Plan (IPSP) “Bayanihan”.
The

operations is “winning the peace and not just defeating the enemy.”
The
AFP’s approach in implementing the IPSP is to touch base with the people and
this effort needs the connection of the media as a stakeholder in nation

partnership of all parties involved and thus help promote the ideals, vision
and mission of the AFP and PNP.
With
this interaction, there is likewise a need for recognizing and respecting each
other’s responsibilities, he explained, even with the variation of everybody’s duties.
The
Tabak commander said he is optimistic that the tri-fold partnership will continue
to be present, with its desire to faithfully and selflessly serve the people,
and in the end will do an impression to other media practitioners.
