Cerilles declares war on illegal gambling

PAGADIAN CITY: Governor Antonio Cerilles has raised the anvil and declared war against all forms of illegal gambling in the province at the same time ordered a stronger campaign against the numbers games in the region under him.

Cerilles’ pronouncement was released last week, through Executive Order 10, reconstituting the Task Force on Anti-Illegal Gambling to run after suspected financiers and supporters of all forms illegal gambling in the province.

Cerilles has named Board Member and Committee on Peace and Public Safety chair Ernesto Mondarte, as the new task force head and provincial police director Sofronio Ecaldre as the vice-chairman.

The governor ordered the task force to conduct a persistent campaign against “swertres, video karera and horse fighting” as he said he wants Zambosur to be 100 percent free of illegal gambling.
